The Collective Ownership
Art That Loves You Back
People stay where they feel they belong
Collective ownership through art A token of belonging. Made tangible.
One original artwork for the organization
One unique artwork for every individual
Collective Ownership is a cultural commissioning model where an organization acquires a single original artwork. From that artwork, a series of unique fragments is created — each one becoming a small artwork given to the people who form the organization. Each piece is different. Yet every piece originates from the same work.
The organization holds the whole. The people hold the fragments. In this way, the artwork becomes more than an object on a wall. It becomes a shared cultural symbol of belonging..
